  1. I don't usually post accessory work.. But I've had a few people that I help with training ask me about what my paused benches look like. Here's 185lbsx2 (~75% of my max) paused reps. This was the sixth set of 8. I hold it stable, in tension, on my chest for a 7 count ( it necessarily 7 seconds but I comfortably count to 7).   1. Squats are an essential exercise for transforming body shape as well as cutting inches off your waistline. However lots of beginners won't get the true benefits of the squats because...... 1) They do not go down to 90 degrees or lower so they won't activate the core muscles properly. 2) Trying to squat with a straight upright back is a misconception, protecting your back more. This is an unnatural movement. 3) The back dips over too much to give the misconception of depth when actually the legs bend very little and puts lots of stress on the back.
