  1. I have spoken before about how cycling helps me escape my #tinnitus. The sound of the wind when I'm on the bike in my right ear helps distract from the loud ringing in my left. I haven't gone skiing since I developed tinnitus but I'm guessing it would have the same effect. The ringing has been particularly loud this week...I don't know why but the sun is so lovely as it makes me want to go for a cycle more than usual. I went yesterday evening with my kids and spending quality time like that with them is always a great way to practice being mindful so it was a double-bonus for me. Cycling is also a great way to stay present as you have to be aware while you are on the bike and cycling along the banks of the Shannon is the perfect way to stay connected with nature...another great way to distract from tinnitus as you hear sounds like the birds tweeting or a swan taking off or the sound of the river itself. Anything that can help escape the ringing in my ear...even for a few minutes...can only be a good thing. . . . #MoMe #amomentforme #mindfulmay #mindfuljourney #tinnitus #tinnitusawareness #livingwithtinnitus #cycling #cyclinglife #cyclingphotos #focusbike #shannonriver #limerick

  1. This particular #MoMeCard from my Flash Cards for Study range is something I would love to have read when I was back in school and college. Even now as a busy working mum it is something that speaks volumes to me as it's something I would have done all the time and still have to consciously stop myself from doing now that I'm aware that I do it! ๐Ÿ™„ We can all get overwhelmed by our own thoughts and what we have to do but every day I'm learning to see the benefits of learning to stop, breathe and focus on what I am actually doing instead of getting swept away with what needs to be done! . . . #flashcardsforgrownups #FlashCardsForStudy #amomentforme #wednesdaywisdom #qotd #fromwhereistand #mindfulmay #mindfuljourney #mindfulness #MoMe #breathe #stayfocused #stayingpresent #workingmum #creativedirector #creativeminds #student #studying #examprep
