  1. Sadly, Takara's three-month-old calf, Kyara, passed away. - SeaWorld announced just two days ago that Kyara was showing signs of pneumonia and that she had been moved from Shamu Stadium to animal care. Pneumonia is a common cause of death for both wild and captive cetaceans. - We will keep you updated Photo: SeaWorld #animalrights #anticap #blackfish #beneaththesurface #boycottseaworld #captivitykills #deathatseaworld #dontbuyaticket #emptythetanks #keiko #killerwhales #loroparque #marineland #marinelandantibess #marinelandcanada #oneocean #orcas #procap #seaworld #seaworldcares #shamu #thanksbutnotanks #thecove #tilikum #nofishnoblackfish #conservation

  1. "The wild, cruel beast is not behind the bars of the cage. He is in front of it." Reasons why you should boycott SeaWorld (besides it being the ethical, humane choice) • SeaWorld has violated the Animal Welfare Act on multiple occasions • SeaWorld separates orca calves from their mothers and lie about it CITE "Blackfish" (documentary) where a scene shows one of SeaWorlds orca mothers screeching after being forcefully separated from her calf • SeaWorld actually runs a breeding program: female orcas are FORCED to breed around the young ages of 8-9 despite research showing that the average orca breeding age is close to 15. Along with this continuous breeding they artificially inseminate females from male "studs" who are often aggressive or closely related to their breeding partner causing many of the orcas to be inbred which can be a major problem for survival • SeaWorld drugs their animals even when they are nursing which is against widely accepted veterinary guidelines- animals at SeaWorld also require psychoactive drugs because of their troubling behavior which is a direct result of their captivity • SeaWorld continues to keep intelligent marine mammals in detrimental captive environments (currently holding 23 orcas in its parks across the U.S -at least 46 have died at the park) inducing unnatural behavior in whales and endangering the trainers at SeaWorld. Both research and anecdotal experience have shown that the lives of the parks captive animals are completely marked by pain and suffering • Orcas at SeaWorld have gnawed at iron bars and concrete from stress, anxiety, and extreme boredom even breaking their teeth which results in painful dental drilling without anesthesia • SeaWorld STOLE baby penguins from their colonies in Antarctica in 2011 which is heartbreaking considering that Emperor Penguins are known to be some of the most dedicated caretakers in the animal world. And besides the obvious evidence of SeaWorld having STOLEN these baby penguins SeaWorld first claimed to have "rescued" them ---- #boycottseaworld #boycottseaworldday #FUCKseaworld #blackfish #SEAWORLD #saynotocaptivity #animalrights
