  1. Yoga has changed my life in so many profound ways. Each time I reconnect with my practice, I find more of myself there. I began my practice in my first year of college in 2005. I found myself with a sivananda teacher at my university and her class helped me with so many of the travails of that life transition. I learned so much about what my body could do and how my mind influenced so much of what actually happened on the mat. It was a hugely transformative experience for me. . This morning, my parter and I took a beautiful class offered by @morganherum at the Pink House and I just couldn't be more grateful ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป .   1. Sadly this society trains us from a very young age to believe that our worth is proportionally related to what we have achieved in life. Spending our most impressionable years at school being taught to gain all the knowledge, not once being told to love and trust ourselves and believe that everything will be ok. That the universe manifests what we project. X I think back to a time when my self talk, that silly monkey mind was constantly criticising me. And I'd listen to every word, believing that I wasn't good enough. I spent my twenties trying to please all those around me and doing everything I could to be accepted. X It wasn't until I looked within, sat in meditation and reflected that I realised self love was missing. Every day since this epiphany I have started my day with gratitude and nurtured myself with acts of love and kindness. My monkey mind is much slower these days. And I am at peace knowing that I can return to breath and meditation when I start to spiral out. X Look in the mirror, smile at that beautiful reflection and say I love you. How does that feel? Do this daily and slowly that cringeworthy awful feeling will dissipate and be replaced by actual love. X Now here's a passage from the wonderful and wise Osho. X "I love this world because it is imperfect. It is imperfect, and that's why it is growing; if it was perfect it would have been dead. Growth is possible only if there is imperfection.
